Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As someone who has navigated challenges in my own journey, I understand how overwhelming life can feel when faced with uncertainty, especially when it comes to something as vital as immigration. I want to take a moment to share some resources available for immigrants here in Santa Cruz County. These are meant to provide guidance, clarity, and support to those who need it most.

I know that recent changes in national policies have caused apprehension and confusion, leaving many in our immigrant communities feeling unsure of what comes next. Please know that you’re not alone, and there are local organizations ready to help. Below, I’ve highlighted services that are here to support individuals and families, regardless of their immigration status.

As someone who believes in building a strong, united community, I wholeheartedly support common-sense immigration policies, fair treatment, and access to resources for everyone. While I may work in real estate, I’ve seen firsthand how important stability is for families—whether it’s in finding a place to call home or navigating legal complexities. Our community thrives when everyone feels secure and valued.

Here to Help with Federal Issues

If you’re working through challenges such as naturalization applications, visa issues, or permanent residency renewals, there are federal services that can assist you. Additionally, if you’re seeking to bring family members to join you here, there are resources to guide you through the petition process.

For DACA recipients, California offers legal help online at immigrantguide.ca.gov or through their hotline at (800) 807-6755.

Legal Assistance and Support Services

If you need legal help with your immigration status, there are trusted organizations that can provide guidance. Residents of Santa Cruz County can also reach out to the California Department of Social Services for statewide legal support at cdss.ca.gov or (916) 651-8017. The State Bar of California is another resource and can be reached at calbar.ca.gov or (415) 538-2000.

Consular Support

For those needing passport renewals or assistance with DACA services, your country’s consulates are available. Consulates are protected locations under international law, so you can seek help there with confidence.

Additional County Resources

Santa Cruz County offers several programs and services that are open to everyone, regardless of immigration status. No one will be reported to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement simply for asking for help from a California government agency.

As a member of this community, I’m here to stand alongside you. Immigrants contribute so much to the rich fabric of Santa Cruz, and I truly believe we’re stronger together. If you ever need additional guidance or simply someone who understands, don’t hesitate to reach out.
